Finally!

As promised, here is a new and improved, and most importantly, a mostly playable version of The New Guy!

Now that voting for Blackthornprod's Game Jam #3 is over, our team can finally upload a patched version of our previously very buggy game.

Bug Fixes

There were a lot of bugs that made the gameplay pretty unpleasant and impossible to finish, these are the bugs we fixed for this version:

-You can’t push the dogs or Roombas anymore
-We changed how stairs work (you use W/UP or S/DOWN to walk up or down the stairs)
-You can’t fall out of the house anymore!
-The dogs don’t freak out anymore when you hide in the closets or climb the ladder
-You can actually use the escape window now and win the game!
-You don’t fall down to the first floor when using ladder
-Grandpa can go to the second floor now
-The interact indicator is always visible when there’s something to interact with

More Sounds Work

Our sound designers made a lot of sfx that we didn’t have time to implement for the jam version but they’re available in the new version. Here’s a list of some of those:

-Dogs’ bark
-Roomba
-Footsteps
